At that time Vouliagmenis Avenue did not even exist yet, nor electricity. The first inhabitants struggled with many difficulties and shortages, but with their hard work and perseverance they built the first houses. Due to its proximity to the airport of Elliniko, the area was bombed during World War II, so the residents suffered a second crisis.
